Cherry Bomb by Sother Teague

1.5 oz Cãna Classic Cachaça
0.5 oz sour cherry syrup (recipe below)
0.75 oz lime juice
3 oz cola

Glass - Collins
Garnish - Fresh cherry on top

Add first 3 ingredients to a shaker tin with plenty of ice. Shake to chill and dilute. Pour into tall collins style glass. Add pebble ice and top off with cola. Garnish with a fresh cherry. Yum!

Sour cherry syrup: Reduce 16 oz of sour cherry juice by half over medium heat. Dissolve in 16 of sugar over low heat. Let cool.

Shaking

Mason jars, water bottles, and tupperwear make great DIY shakers.

Stirring

Use any of your favorite spoons.

Muddling

You can use a wooden spon, a blender, or a very agitated dog.

Measuring

It’s simple: 2 tablespoons = 30ml = 1 oz

Straining

Don’t tell anyone, but any kind of food strainer will work. Just make sure they are properly washed, you big mess.

Simple Syrup

1 CUP OF WATER X 1 CUP OF SUGAR
 In a saucepan, bring the 2 to a boil; simmer until it's dissolved, ~3 min. Then, let it chill.
